Alter Ego Photography was something that came to my attention a few years back when the the Housewives did a shoot with the famous Derrick Blanks. I had never attempted it but after working with with Toni Marchino for the Nerd vs Popular chic, the alter ego photo request kept coming.
For this alter-go shoot I used one of the custom Barbie boxes and model Franche’ portrayed an intermediating almost gothic barbie with the bat and pvc attire in one look. The opposing ego was a soft and terrified barbie that appeared cornered in a confrontation.
Portray contrasting personas complete with facial reaction, attire and body language is what I need and Franche did a great job at giving me all three.
